ALTDATA

ALTDATA was formed in South Australia to address the challenge of data scarcity in critical and restricted environments such as space and defence. While space-based experiments generate unique biological insights, they are expensive, limited, and often underutilised. The company was established to transform this rare data into scalable digital twin simulations using artificial intelligence, enabling faster and more cost-effective research. The founding team brings expertise in AI, data analytics, and software development, with collaborations spanning the space and life sciences.

  • Faster, lower cost R&D replacing physical experiments with AI simulations
  • Unique, high-value insights leveraging rare space-derived data unavailable through Earth-based research
  • Scalable experimentation enabling thousands of virtual trials without new missions.

ALTDATA is developing an AI driven digital twin platform that transforms data from space-based biological experiments into virtual simulations. These digital twins allow researchers to model and test complex biological systems without needing to conduct costly physical experiments in space. By combining real microgravity data with advanced AI and synthetic data generation, the platform expands limited datasets into scalable research tools.

ALTDATA operates in the growing global space technology sector, supporting organisations that require advanced data analysis, simulation, and digital research capabilities. Initial opportunities include partnerships with space research organisations, technology companies, and institutions involved in space-based experimentation. The platform also has potential applications across emerging areas of the space economy, including autonomous systems, remote scientific operations, and space enabled digital infrastructure.

ALTDATA is seeking partnerships with research institutions, biotechnology companies, and space organisations to access datasets, validate models, and run pilot programs. These collaborations will support early adoption and technical validation. The company is also looking to partner with industry and investors to accelerate commercialisation, expand market access, and scale the platform globally.
