Emify

Emify was founded in Adelaide in 2026 when co-founders Upekha and Buddhika recognised that Australian companies were struggling to comply with newly mandated sustainability reporting standards. Upekha, nearing completion of his PhD at Adelaide University, identified the problem firsthand, while Buddhika brought the technical expertise needed to build an AI-driven solution, building on a strong partnership formed through prior collaboration.

  • Automating the entire process - chases suppliers, reads every document, and extracts the numbers. You just approve!
  • Full traceability and audit readiness with every number linked back to its source for complete confidence
  • Lower cost, greater control, reducing reliance on consultants while keeping everything in-house.

While many tools support parts of sustainability reporting, none solve the full challenge, end-to-end, from fragmented data collection and supplier follow-up to final report preparation. Emify is not another reporting tool, it is an AI-powered system that integrates seamlessly into existing workflows and manages the process autonomously, from initial data request through to drafted disclosure. Built on agentic AI, Emify operates like a dedicated team member, chasing, extracting, validating, and compiling with minimal human input. This is supported by world-class data security measures designed for Australian companies, ensuring compliance and confidence at every stage.

Emify currently targets ASX-listed Group 1, 2 and 3 companies alongside National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting entities reporters, following ASIC’s mandate requiring compliance with AASB S2 climate reporting standards. This represents an immediate and time-sensitive domestic market. Beyond Australia, Emify has clear expansion opportunities into regions where environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting is already mandated or rapidly becoming mainstream, including Europe and across Asia, markets where the same compliance pressures are accelerating demand for an automated solution.

Emify is actively seeking go-to-market partners, ideally former Big Four audit firm partners who bring established client networks and deep credibility in the sustainability reporting space. The company is also keen to partner with professional and educational bodies in the sustainability and accounting domain such as Certified Practicing Accountant Australia, and Chartered Accountants Australia and Zealand to conduct awareness sessions and position Emify at the forefront of the mandatory reporting conversation.
